Our wellness.rooms Kanzler are located in Krungl, a small, quiet town on the World Cup ski jump Kulm between the spa town of Bad Mitterndorf and the mountain village of Tauplitz, in the beautiful Hinterbergertal in the Styrian Salzkammergut. The extensive valley is surrounded by impressive mountains such as Kammspitz, Lawinenstein, Bergerwand, Kampl, Zinken, Hechlstein and the Grimming (2351 m), the highest free-standing mountain in Austria.

Sauna
Those who like it hot will love our saunas. The most beautiful place is in the log cabin sauna in the wellness garden, where in summer you can jump straight into the swimming pond after a sauna session. Indoors, you will find a Finnish sauna for all seasons. Visit the tepidarium or the infrared cabin as a circulation-friendly alternative.

Gentle jets massage you in the whirlpool while you bath in 32 degree warm water. On top of the suntower you are surrounded by a mountain panorama which soothes your mind.

For summer refreshments, we have a very special bathing facility in the garden. A natural swimming pond, free from chemical additives, that invites you to cool off outdoors. You can then rest on comfortable loungers on the adjacent sunbathing lawn.

Whether you enjoy mountain biking on around 1,200 kilometers of signposted trails, hiking from a summit tour or around the lake with a dip in the water, Nordic walking directly from the house or playing golf on the region’s wonderfully maintained golf courses – summer in the Ausseerland is as colorful as the landscape.

SKIING IN THE AUSSEERLAND IN STYRIA
Skiers are drawn to the high plateau of the Tauplitzalm, which is only three kilometers away from our wellness.rooms Kanzler. The Kulm is also located in the municipality of Bad Mitterndorf. International ski jumping competitions have been held here since 1953.

BATHING FUN ROUND AROUND BAD MITTERNDORF
The Salzkammergut has always harbored a wealth of lakes, which form unique jewels in the landscape with the surrounding mountain scenery – popular destinations for splashing around or boating during the summer months. The thermal baths in the region around the wellness.rooms Kanzler are just as popular, especially when the weather is bad. Anyone looking for water fun can head for various pools and lakes in the Ausseerland.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING ON COUNTLESS TRAILS
The glittering white can be enjoyed in all its facets in the Ausseerland. The region is one of the best cross-country skiing areas in Austria: no fewer than around 180 kilometers of trails make cross-country skiing around Bad Mitterndorf a varied pleasure. You can access the cross-country ski run directly at the wellness.rooms Kanzler.

“NARZISSENFEST” IN THE AUSSEERLAND-SALZKAMMERGUT
When, between mid-May and mid-June, the mountain meadows of the Ausseerland are in full bloom and fragrant, the most beautiful and largest flower festival in Austria is right around the corner- the “Narzissenfest”. Imaginative figures are painstakingly made from thousands of daffodils that grow wild on the meadows of the Ausseerland.

SNOWSHOE-HIKING
Snowshoe-hiking in the Ausseerland is a sport for everyone and is very trendy. It’s fun, good for your health, and you don’t need much prior knowledge. Even if you trudge through the deep snow, the snowshoes give you enough contact surface not to sink in.
There is not much you need: the right equipment and off you go- into untouched snowy landscapes.
